Aaron Graham
Pastor. Author. Speaker.
As millions walk away from faith and countless others water down biblical truth to fit cultural preferences, Aaron Graham exposes seven pervasive lies threatening Christian faith today.
“Speak your truth” has overtaken “speak the Truth.” Christians today find themselves torn between defending Christianity as an institution and reshaping biblical truth to fit cultural preferences. Both paths lead away from authentic faith.
Graham addresses common lies Christians are confronted with today such as:
God is distant: When we embrace true worship and repentance, God draws near and transforms our hearts with His presence.
Faith is private: Bold public witness flows naturally from authentic surrender to Christ, making our faith visible in every area of life.
The Bible is outdated: Daily engagement with Scripture as God’s living Word provides timeless wisdom and power for navigating modern challenges.
Enemies must be canceled: Radical forgiveness and enemy love reveal the heart of Christ and break cycles of division that poison our culture.
Graham offers a better way forward, one that maintains authentic faith without compromising conviction. It is a path that holds fast to biblical truth while engaging the world with Christ-like love. Through practical wisdom and historic Christian practices, readers will discover how to discern truth from half-truth, maintain vibrant faith in a secular age, and become part of a new generation of believers who approach the world as Jesus did—with unwavering truth and unflinching love.

For over fifteen years, he has pastored in the heart of the nation’s capital, discipling a generation to follow Jesus with courage and conviction in the midst of cultural compromise. He is currently leading an initiative to restore one of the city’s most historic churches as a visible sign of the gospel’s enduring presence in the heart of Washington, DC.
He is the author of the forthcoming book Unshakable Faith: How to Stand Firm in a Culture of Lies (Penguin Random House) which releases May 12, 2026.
Aaron earned a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School and a doctorate in missiology from Fuller Seminary, where his studies focused on spiritual formation, cultural engagement, and the future of the church in the West. His ministry has been shaped by formative experiences as a missionary kid in Liberia and Kuwait—where he was held hostage during the Persian Gulf War—and by years spent living among the urban poor and pastoring an African American church plant in Boston.
He and his wife, Amy, are passionate advocates for foster care, adoption, and affordable housing. Together they founded DC127, a movement uniting churches to reverse the foster care waitlist. Aaron also serves on the mayor’s faith advisory board and provides spiritual counsel to senior leaders in government, education, and business.
He and Amy live in Washington, DC, with their two children, Elijah and Natalie.
